windscreen

Post by Smalljeep » Tue Jul 19, 2011 7:31 pm

today i was driving my samurai, and the bonnet come up and smacked the windscreen, theres a big spiders web now in the middle of the windscreen.

Is there any cheap windscreens about, cant really justify getting autoglass for my anus.

Bloody hell! I bet that made you jump!
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

it was a bit of a shock luckily i seen it coming and covered my eyes, them wee bits of glass that can come off can be quite dangerous.

any windscreens about? my frame is a bit rusty so i could buy it with a frame, or would a bit of that clear perspex used for shed windows do?

Sorry I don't have a spare screen :(
I have 1 but I need to keep that in case!

Nice,

I have seen a few on eBay recently, worth asking somebody who is breaking their SJ if they still have the windscreen.

any breakers on here or should i ask an ebay breaker?

i frequently take the doors and windscreen off (and then its the best thing for driving fast) so the frame if it came with a windscreen would be better, less need to try and squeeze new glass into place.

Send a message to a breaker on ebay and see what they say. They can only say no, so you got nothing to loose

It's really really easy to put a new screen in the surround by the way.

I did mine (carefully) with a screwdriver, some string, and some washing up liquid :D
