Power

Right my 410 is toooo slow for me lol. It runs bang on but its got no ooomph. Im not after a record breaker but something with a bit more pace.
My old sammy I put the 1.6 8v vit engine in and was pretty straight forward, but I understand its a bit more to do the same engine in the 410? needs a different gearbox etc?
If im going to the trouble of doing more work, what better engines are there to stick in the old girl?
I was thinking along the lines of a turbo diesel, like the vauxhall or something? Dont wanna break the bank but cant be dealing with the lack of guts lol

For simplicity, get a sammy / 413 box, pop it in and do the 1.6 conversion. No over heating, weight on the front, sump clearance etc problems.

Plus with your t box it will be lowered down to a nice gear ratio

What are sammy boxes worth roughly?
Last time I boght a vitara for £150, robbed the engine and scrapped the car so was a pretty cheap conversion in all. Plus it meant I had the whole exhaust system to fabricate one to fit the vitara engine and sj chassis
