hi again,
could any body tell me where the wires for the reverse light switch come out of the loom and what colour they should be? i asume the switch on top of the gearbox near the fire wall is the reverse switch but i cant locate any wires.
cheers
joe

I will have a look tomorrow if no one beats me to it. Found some more fubared wiring around the gear box which I suspect is the reversing light which I intend to repair.

Pictures of the wiring for you. Hope they are of some use. Shows where the wiring goes to for the reversing light.

Wouldn't trust it from my SJ as I'm still finding parts that are fucked/bodged/broken from previous owners.

Red arrows shows where the reversing light wires on my SJ run.

Hopefully gives you an idea of where to look for the wires for your reversing light.

thankyou very much, all of my lights are now working which is really cool, just a shame the old wires become so coroded and its nearly imposible to solder to them, really lets the sj down  .
cheers

Got a trick to that. If you strip the wires as normal. Then get some new wires, strip them fairly far back and wrap them round the old wire making the old wire look like its new. Then you can solder :)
