Re: Dans Zook Build - ITS ALIVE!!!!
Didnt get too much done this weekend so will show the only interesting bit.
Got a steering wheel off ebay which came with a VW boss.
Being tight I didnt want to pay for a suzuki boss and as the center of the suzuki wheel looked like it would fit inside it I decided to give it a go.
Cutting the center out of the old wheel.
Then cut part of the VW boss off to get a rough fit
Sods law it was just too big to fit inside so... MACHINISTS LOOK AWAY NOW!!!!
Then it was a good tight interference fit
That was hammered in to the shoulder and given a trial on the truck. It was perfect so I ran a few big passes over it. Dont fancy it coming off!
Then I had to top it off with the best bit fron the okd wheel so I carefully cut out the old center with a hacksaw
Im really happy with how it turned out

Nice Job.
I might have a boss that would fit that steering wheel though if you'd asked

That's gonna be very low on road matey, your not gonna have a very good top speed with the 31s.

You'll need 35s to get your gearing back
4.6s are good for 33s
