Update for Scottie, and those interested.

Have just got underneath it in the cold with an inspection lamp and a ten inch g clamp, to use as a calliper/measure, to compare against the one i purchased yesterday.

Can confirm (as Scottie suspected and has already correctly diagnosed)

On the vehicle - length of diff from drive flange to flange which mates to axle housing 7 and a half inches, overall external diameter, measured horizontally across the width of the diff to axle flange 22cm.

On the purchased diff - as above, except the overall external diameter 20 cm.

So purchased diff is 2 cm narrower than the existing on vehicle one!

So need to either find another diff, or another back axle complete?

Depending if Scottie can find one or not, will await his response and if no good will post a wanted add.

Cheers, Tim

Scottie,

sorry, mislead you. diff was 40, spent 40 on fuel for the car, so i added the two together.
Self employed mindset.

Did you have any joy your end finding any diffs?
