weber install help

Hi all,
I'm pretty new to this machine still and would really love some help with the weber I just swapped into my SJ413. I want to make sure that I have it all connected up right before I try to tune it. After a quick spin its noticeably improved but wants to cut out when I stop. Great bargain for 60E used! So here goes, the following is a list of photos with connections I made and the questions I have. Its complicated for me because the weber manual I looked at has an auto choke, which mine doesn't, and the Aisin I removed had the auto choke removed so harder to see what goes where. I'm not sure which model weber it is exactly. I got the weber installed on a manifold so swapped out the whole lot.

7. I connected the vacuum advance of the dist here. I'll need a longer hose me thinks. I wonder what this does and whether it has something to do with the choke or not?

9. Now I am wondering what these connect to. Studying it now I guess the white one goes to the idle cut off solinoid on the weber (see pic below)? And the green one? Do I need to transfer the connector for this on the manifold, as seen in the first pic?

15. Finally I'm wondering about these two holes, there are no threads or anything in there and dunno if they need to be capped off?:


Hopefully thats thorough enough to see whether I have gone wrong anywhere and would be grateful if anybody could point out any errors or suggestions. The truck was running smokey and not holding a charge properly maybe due to alternator, but I hope I can get it right as rain now with the help of the weber!

4 .vaccum for brakes correct
5 pcv valve correct, it goes to your 'filtered air' & your rocker cover breather
7 that's correct but you do need a longer hose, its nothing to do with the choke, it alters the engine timing as it recalling meaning it can keep the correct advance through the range
8/9 I don't know about these, the green one I left connected to the manifold
11 nothing! its one of the blanks that need to be fitted like 13, then there is the accelerator pump above it which operates when you put your foot down, On mine I put a pit of pipe to link 11 & 13 as I blew the tops off the blanks when I got the timing worng
12 Is the point that your green plug should connect too,
13 yes leave them (there are 2) capped, they are tappings into the manifold the aisin uses them but the weber doesn't
14 mine doesn't have this or at least i didn't think it had, i just looked and it does! but It's not used on mine.....
15 these should be blocked internally don't worry about them

Cheers Tramp for all that clarification. Helps a lot. Do you know if the vacuum hose on 7 needs to be of a particular length then?
I'll link 11 and 13 as you both seem to have done, thanks for the pics Luke.
I'm thinking I should rebuild some of this so I can plug back in the green plug although I'm a bit baffled as to how or why its connected to the piece above it (pic 11/12 in first post):

It doesn't make a difference what length the vaccum hose is, but with yours stretched tight its more likely to kink and stop the vac advance working, also it looks like its resting on the throttle lever plate which may damage it when it operates..... which you don't want as it will let air into your manifold & cause running issues. The green plug, I'm not really sure what it does I can half recall someone saying its an idle up when you have an electrical demand, in which case you can leave it off, obviously some has been running with out it!

The more I look at your pics the more I wonder if that sensor is for the green plug, mine seems to be in a different place, I wonder if your new manifold is the 1.6 vit manifold? Like I said before if it doesn't need to go on it won't be a problem

I should add, on my picture screw D is the mixture screw, & screw E is the idle screw, if its just cutting out when you stop it probably needs the idle setting & then the mixture
