I need opinions!
As the rear end is now on its second virtual lift the rear panels have ended up quite warped, I was thinking about chopping the side panels out and putting new metal in to tidy this up however it's going to be a bitch to get it looking tidy.
I'm thinking about doing something along these lines but not dove tailed and getting rid of the tail gate? what d you guys think?

Hmmm. Dunno on that one. I suppose a whole new rear end would eliminate some of the common rust areas though.

I decided against rebuilding the entire rear end, got a few hours in today, been getting back into my bmxing now the weathers better so the build has slowed quite a lot.
I filled in the gaps at the ends of the bulkhead in and got one arch tacked up today

Didn't want to say anything for fear of sounding negative, but I think dovetailed zuks don't look right. Glad you're keeping a "classic" zuki arse. :-)

My intention was never to do dovetail the SJ anyway just build a new arse end with a more heavy duty structure like in the pics above. I do personally love the dovetail look, its just not suited to something that is being kept road legal.

im soooo glad you never went down the new rear end as imo it would of looked wrong unless you redone the front as well.
it looks like this time round you are doing it all right so it should be the last time it gets rebuilt.
you know the more you ride the bmx the less time you get on the zuk rebuild but as a plus you will save more riding the bmx to go towards some more cool bits for the zuk

I'm glad you didn't do the new rear end either, I personally like the standard rear end, & if you can do something that looks the same which is uprated, I think it will be bob on!
