Gear shift lever locating bolt

Post by richone, not » Wed May 30, 2012 12:57 pm

I only seem to come here when I want something, which make me feel a bit ignorunt, however I am desperate, again.

I tried searching the forum for "gear shift lever locating bolt" but maybe i am doing it wrong as i know that these bolts snapping is quite common.

So, does anyone know where i can get a gear shift lever locating bolt, for a 1993 SJ413 SAMURI SPORT, I tried Unipart.

Thanks, again, Rich.

i bought a kit from mountain goat performance, bolt + bush for gearbox and bush for the transfer box - recomended.

but i also think they sell the bolts seperatly. they do

I just got a stainless M8 bolt and cut ot to the correct length.

Stuck it in a drill and twizzled it against an angle grinder (Redneck lathe) to get the correct profile on the end.

Then just gave it another spin with some wet n dry pinched over the end to remove any roughness.

Sorted
