Keep shopping about. It can vary dramatically day to day for some reason.
When i first started driving bell direct was cheapest on a 10month accelerated NCB policy. Try all the comparison sites. It4me was always quite good. Usually cheaper than the meerkat.

One option would be to mothball your zuk until you have had your license a year & have some NCB.
Buy something reeeeeeally cheap to buy & insure until then.

Re: HELP ME!! i cant insure my zuk and dont want to sell her
Mine was £2100 with the Co-op for my first year, £2000 for my second year and this year's looking like £700-£900.
A mate of mine paid £1800 for his first year's insurance on a Corsa D.
Apparently most people get a new more powerful car when they're 19-ish so anything with a little engine starts to plummet after then according to the Co-op guy I spoke to.

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

My bog-standard vit costs more to insure than my landy with 2" lift, large knobblies & winch etc.

jay I know it sounds dumb but the cheapest I got was with diamond ( yes the womans insurance company )
im down to about 800 after a year of driving. also call up the insurance company as u can some times get a better deal. dont forget to 'fiddle' about with the options online to see what gets u a better deal. oh and classic insurance is also a good bet.

Re: HELP ME!! i cant insure my zuk and dont want to sell her
I wouldn't be surprised if a Land Rover SIII Stage One was cheaper to be honest. Insurance Companies have some weird ideas.
I was thinking about a Land Rover SIIA N/A diesel at one point because you can get classic insurance, plus no tax. Still wouldn't mind one if it was standard and in good nick.

What modifications are you saying that it's got?
Re: HELP ME!! i cant insure my zuk and dont want to sell her
Just before I got my vit, I did an online quote with directline.
3rd party, F&T was more expensive than fully comp.
There is obviously no logic to this, so keep trying.
Have you tried going with one of the companies that fit a tracker/monitor?
