Personally I wouldn't actually use a k&n unless its one of their heavy duty ones. The normal ones actually allow finer particals of dust through which isn't really good for an offroader, there's no performance gains that are really worth it either. I'd either use an aftermarket foam filter like ITG or just stick to a standard filter.
Only reason I've got an ITG filter rather than an air box is because I got it for free. I'm pretty sure ITG actually make filters for all Suzuki airboxes as well
