Just having a general "read up" on different things members have asked about as I'm new on the scene and I bumped in to someone asking about their engine oil burning problems. One of the inputs was talk about a PCV Valve used to assist in the burning of oil fumes and the possibility of it being unserviceable. I started to think about this and I'm sure my vehicle doesn't have this fitted - so obviously I need to ask if it should?
I can't go and check because I've stripped the engine down and it's currently in a machine shop for a rebore, crank regrind and cylinder head refurb etc whilst the vehicle itself is at a garage who lifted the block out for me and will lift it back in when the machining work is done, ready for me to fit the main components back.
My vehicle is Japanese built in 1988 (E Reg).
SJ410 PCV Valve
Re: SJ410 PCV Valve
its that little thing that bolts inot the top of the inlet manifold and should have a pipe coming out the top with a Tpiece joining it to the air box and rocker cover.
