why ?

why when i put my off roader on my silver sj did its struggle so much and the new ish clutch start smoking when on my 1.0 when it worked it never did this ?? any suggestions. Another question is there an easyer way of fixing my doggy auto choke then referbishing it as the car hardly ever ticks over on its own !!

It sorta makes sense.

So is this one a 1.3?

Sounds like the clutch may just need adjusting up a bit.

As for the carb, if it is a 1.3 the carbs probably knackered. First thing i do is bin the standard carb.

I think he is trying to say

He is towing his 410 off roader using his 413

I had to tow a ldv van sort or side ways as it couldn't be towed backwards as it was stuck in a wierd place facing downhill a bit
but it didn't work the first time as my clutch was smoking a bit but then jacked up the ldv van and placed some scaffolding boards under the wheels and the.mighty 410 towed it out

I'm just running a standard LUK. Seems ok. About £70

Think it was hamer destroyed a Borg & Beck clutch.

Sounds knackered. Try adjusting it up.

If its definately the clutch smoking i'd take the gear box out and see whats going on before anything geta too badly damaged.
