Just thought i'd give this a bump before the work begins.

I've managed to get a few pennies together for nuts and bolts and the usual consumables required. I'm feeling good about next week. Plenty of time to get the bits and pieces done.

Gonna get a quite for a fuel tank on friday or saterday.

Expect plenty of dumbass questions about things that have been explained 100 times already too when i get stuck and confused.

Got my early finish today as the wife had her 20wk scan. Just looked like a black and white alien to me. I did however manage to swing buy my local factors and collected a gallon of oil, engine flush, oil filter, plugs, PAS and fan belt. Collecting cambelt tomorrow.

My hiab truck will also be arriving tomorrow! Cos' tomorrow it starts!

Have you tried lifting engine and gear boxes in one go?

Even with two people its not easy. Saves me have to split them and install them seperately just goes in in one go and means the whole lump is a lot easier to manage.

I don't have an engine crane Scott. Do have access to a 3.5t LDV flatbed with a 1.5t hiab crane. Its great for getting bigger bits here and there. Makes life easier!

So you *do* have an engine hoist, it's just disguised as an LDV...
