Axle size
Hi everyone, I notice that the 410 axles are smaller than the 413's, is bigger better and what would you recommend ? Thanks in advance

Re: Axle size
410 and 413 are the same size. It is the Samurai that has wider axles and outboarded spring mounts.
Wider axles = more stability

Ah yes, sorry my mistake. Reason I ask is I have a 410 SJ and Samurai and am using the parts off one for the other. Can you recommend where I can get the seals and felts for the knuckle ball by any chance ? Oh and thanks for your response

Also greater moment forces. The longer something is the easier it is to bend. Not likely to happen but mathematically it's true.dan_2k_uk wrote:Wider axles = more stability
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Ah ha, so the samurai axles it is then Is the SJ 410 inferior to the Samurai in any way other than that ? Also are the bodies interchangeable ?

Re: Axle size
Bodies can be swapped. Just remember you would need to move the perches on the axles and 413 and Sammy axles only take diffs thatare a higher ratio so wont be good with the 1L engine. Although there may be a vitara diff you could use to get the gearing back.
Apart from what has been mentioned any other diferences between the 2 are pretty much personal prefrence.
