Samurai Bumper mounts ?

Post by Andrew413 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:50 pm

Hi folks new to the forum!, just got a Suzuki samurai 413 in white and currently getting it ready for the road have hit a problem though! There are no mounts on my car to attach the front bumper too, where they should be (according to the Haynes manual) is on either end of the bar running along the front end of the car below the grille. Are these parts detachable or has someone prior to me cut them off? My dad has loads of Samurai's, but not one of them have these brackets, any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Its the 1st and easiet mod a lot of people do to fit bigger tyres.

Probably easier just to mount some lights on the grill and cut them off completely.

:welcome:

If you want a standard bumper for asthetic reasons you will have to weld some new mounts back on.

If not I would just do as Jordi says and cut the bar right back to the chassis rail and leave it at that.
