Traffic incident advice

Hey guys,
Was going to post this querie on google but i thought you intelligent dudes might be abele to help.
basically i had a bit of an incident while driving today (no harm came to anything) but i was driving down a normal 40mph road and there was a car in front doing 30, so i decided to overtake. but by the time i had moved out and started to get past, a car had pulled up at a small junction ahead on the right and started to move out left! he obviously wasnt looking where he was going but when he saw me he made no effort to stop and carried on moving out and jamed on his horn. i just managed to pull back in though.

now obviously i was on the wrong side of the road and probably shoulnt have been overtaking at a junction, but surely you shoudnt pull out when there is a car coming in the opposite direction?

anyway id quite like to forget about it, although ive been thinking my car is quite distinctive, so if anything happens of this what should i do? i dont really want this to come back and bite me in the arse some how.

any thoughts on the matter would be well appreciated.

At worst the other driver who pulled out on u will put in a complaint about u and as no acsedent happend u might get a letter tellibg u theres been a complaint made about u etc but cos no accsedent was caused by it tge police wont really care

Don't worry about. Police won't even entertain it if he complained.

Police don't like to even attend incidents unless someone is hurt. If there is damage all the police say is swap details. Then its up to both sides to pass their version of events onto the respective insurance firms. They then decide whose fault it is.

like i said i dont really want to think about it, or whos fault it was. but had a look on google and its a fairly common question asked and disgust and it seems to be 50/50 people saying who is in the wrong.

just didnt like the idea of him finding me and having a go at me, if he is some sort of nutter.

Dude...if the other driver reports the incident he will have to explain exactly what happened... At which point the police will tell him he was in the wrong and they may put him under caution if he wants to proceed with the complaint

In the eyes of the law the driver coming out of the side road was in the wrong as any priority they had came to an end at the 'Give Way' or 'Stop' signs/lines

There are a whole load reasons why it's extremely unlikely anything will come of this but the bottom line is don't worry about it and just be thankful that halfwit didn't pull out of the junction and into the side of you!

Hear hear, I'm sure we've all seen bad drivers do that, when it happened to me it cost me 16months of my life and gave me a limp for the rest of it!
