I managed to hurt myself enough doing flat land, and that never involved being more than a couple of foot of the ground.

i a few years ago i was coming out my road and i slipped on a wet man hole cover and slices my knee open. And then another fall i had was on a concrete flat bank (outside a hostpital) didnt hop in down it properly over the handle bars cracked my helmet in four different places and sliced a chunk out my fingers and then road home. Since then the hospital have put fences there so you cant ride anymore. And then after that i found beer, cider and tools.
