this has got me hooked! :popcorn:
is it not possible to polish a alloy part ie. a rocker cover or tank and lacquer it so it keeps a shiny clean look so then all you need to do is wash it instead of having to keep polishing all the time?

Yes you can do that but it has to be really clean first..and depending on what part you might need high heat lacquer

I have rubber! 15 quid for about 5 an a half meters in length. bout 2.5 inch wide and 5mm thick. wheel arches ready to bolt on and cut!

quick update. no pics as im at work im afraid. insurance has been swapped and the engine is being transferred as we speak!

the pickle will be on the road as of today! then just gotra do a bit of fiddling around to get it finished off :smokin:

ok shes back on the road!!!

still a few things to do:

small amount of welding left.
sort out cd player.
attach rubber outers to arches.
add bull bar.
wire up spots to switches.
mount rear spot(s)
bit of interior paint and trim
fit my wheel spacers

oh and get muddy!

a few pics now I've put the at tyres on, the insas will get shredded on the road so I'll use em for the mud.
