su accelerator bracket help

Post by timwilks13 » Tue Jul 23, 2013 1:08 am

I'm using a hif44 from a pair but neither pair has any sort of fixing for an accelerator cable, had a look to see if I could bodge on something from my aisian carb but to no avail. its a hard problem to explain but i need something like on the old aisian carb where you have a bit of bent channel that the cable sits in...sorry if I'm not explaining this very well, but here is the su without the bit I could do with.

As Twiss said give them a ring. I've found this but don't know it its correct. Some SU's have a little tag with a number on for identification.

thank for your help guys, still havent found the exact bit im looking for, but all the above has been brilliantly helpful!! and i will continue to search, but in the mean time i have take the throttle arm off my old aisian carb, cut off the extra stopper arm bits and just bolted it on the the current SU throttle. Bit of a bodge but seems to work, ill put up a picture later if and when i remember to take one!
