There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

What tyre pressure are you running? Might make a difference if yours are too high or low.
If it ticks over...leave it

Keep checking ebay for tyres
I got my Goodyear wranglers 215 75 15 with full tread
They was 6 months old. Think I paid £30 the set

My tyres are MTs and nope they have loads of grip, it'll only go sideways if I want it too and as my tyres are pretty expensive I don't spin them up on road. Just drive it like any other rwd car and you'll be fine, I.e. don't put the power down out of a corner unless you know you won't have to back off the throttle again.
My old vit used to have shit tyres that would go sideways at every opportunity it could in the wet but if you drove it right it was fine.
If you ever feel the back starting to slip out just back off the throttle, problem solved

Well usually I do just drift it and keep it controlled, it was just that once that it went too far and I couldn't countersteer it, so I just brought it to a safe stop, was too busy thinking about not hitting the kerb and rolling lol..
Will try and get some new tires, even it its just the rears for now, would hate to think what its going to be like on icey roads..
