is a rusty sill

would a sj fail mot on a rusty sill??

Probably if it's at the rear of the sill, as it would be within 12" (300mm) of the seat belt mounting point.

depends how rusty? is it surface rust as in you push it and dont move? and probably could paint it and do it for the next year mot , or as in its hanging and needs to be plated and welded?

Mate of mine failed because the mot guy put his fist through the sill, so he cut out a square, did the same at the other side to make it look like it was made that way, and went to a different mot centre and passed, so there's always a way round it if it does fail!

Not sure that is the industry standard repair.

Hit it with the handle of a screw driver if it goes thro its a fail there only spoze to use them small hammers to find week spts
1994 sj 413 sierra

asin free wheeling hubs
99% rust free
alloys
bukets
some leaks here and there
