Hello!
I need your help. I just bought Suzuki Jimny Sierra 1.3 , year 1994, engine G13BA ... I'm from Bulgaria and the vehicle was imported here from UK.
It has three-stage automatic transmission. My question is what could be the model of that gearbox? I also don't know what kind of oil should be used for this automatic gearbox...
I'll be very grateful if someone can give me some information about it.

Re: Question about gearbox
Welcome to the club..
I've only got one workshop manual 99501-81a00-01e
I've robbed the section from it ... but I don't know what years it covers?
Also some info from Bigjimny
Hope it helps..
As said I don't think we got the jimny until about 1998
I don't think the jimny ever had the G13BA engine
Hell ,what do I know

Re: Question about gearbox
I attached a photo of this model. It's not mine, but my vehicle is in auto service (workshop). I'll take some pictures when I get it back.
Other information is the number of chassis - JB31W107543
I know it's very rare model , that's why need help, because I can't find anything about the gearbox... It has been produced in Japan (I guess so), because everything is written in Japanese...

Re: Question about gearbox
Actually, mate - the whole line of SJ vehicles was called "Jimny" in japan since way back. What we called the "Samurai" - they called the "jimny".turbo-tom wrote:Have you got any pictures of your vehicle? i know the names got changed all over the world im just sure they didnt do an automatic suzuki sj ever as factory?, and they didnt start making jimnys until 1998
So if it's got the word "Jimny" on it, then it's probably very well travelled - it's from Japan (or maybe Australia, where *I THINK* they're called Sierra's), been imported into the UK, and then to it's current home.
Personally I'd been looking toward Japan or Australia for info on "Samurai" jimny gearboxes.
I do hope that's of some help, because I know *nothing* about auto gearboxes, other than I don't like 'em.
