I removed a door handle including the rod that connects it to the latch.
How are you supposed to get the spring clip that holds the rod back on?
Presume it's one of those patience and faffing jobs? Not getting angry and throwing freshly painted body panels around the garage jobs?
refitting door handles? knew I shouldn't have removed!

If its the one im thinking of, I ended up using a 'c' clip after getting annoyed for an hour or so

there is a technique and it's not that hard i just can't describe it without it being in front of me.
that's why I usually just mask off the handles and lift them to paint underneath

I usually mask them up as the clips are crappy.
tho when I have removed door handles in the past I didn't need to put them back on
its all good fun...until the battery goes flat , thems was good times

I'll get it. Be easier once the door is on it and not trying to fall over.

Yep, it's a case of faffing about. Done one once but only because it broke.
If it ticks over...leave it
