what kit to get

Post by kiwizook » Wed Oct 23, 2013 9:16 am

what is the best/cheapest brake rebuild kit available?
I've seen the ones on ebay, but they are like 26 pounds a set plus postage, which makes it a bit expensive to do all four. any cheaper ones available?
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Presuming that's the brakes international complete kit (includes new sliders too) that's about the best option.

Bigg red also do a kit for about £25 I think. That is just a seal kit but is for both sides.

I got the brakes.international kit and it was spot on.

When I rebuilt mine, I had a Bigg Red kit. It's just seals and retention clips, no sliders etc, but if you don't need new sliders it works out pretty cheap.

Bigg Red and Brakes International are both spot on.

Whatever you do, though, don't skimp on brake parts - I spent a couple of hundred quid rebuilding mine (front Asins, rear Rover calipers) - it's worth knowing that you can trust them.

I did new seals, new bleed valves, new pistons, stripped and painted them - so my brakes are in "as new" condition. If you're going to do it, do it right.

I personally think it's money really well spent.

Bigg Red definately sell Asin kits.

I know, that's what I used to rebuild my Asin's!
