1.6 16v conversion

Post by andyrew » Sun Nov 24, 2013 12:49 pm

Hey guys and girls

Im going to be doing a 16v swap into a stock height sj
Ive googled but cant seem to find info on swaping the sump and
Modding the pick up pipe. Which im under the impression needs
To be done on a sj without a lift?

Ive looked at a few conversion threads but most seem to stick
With the vit sump.

Any help is much appreciated

Cheers dudes and she dudes

Have a look in my build. All you need to do is chop the old pickup off the g13 and then slip it into the g16 one cut in about the same place and stitch it up.

Then just make or cut off and re use the little angle bracket that supports it.

The sump just needs a little bash to adjust a small part of the baffle which fouls something on the bottom of the g16 bit can't remember exactly what.
