Saying hello, and a pic of my 410

Post by JoeB3169 » Tue Jan 14, 2014 3:19 pm

Just saying hello as I am new to the forum and to 4x4s! It's already been helpful reading through and I'm sure it will continue to be as I modify, fix and bodge my poor little SJ!

Also if anybody knows of any good cheap M/T tyres I am in the market, thanks.

Welcome to the club.

I run these in 33", performed well at the various sites I've been to. http://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/235-75-15/235 ... -2299.html

Kuhmo KL71s are very well rated as are Insa Saharas.

Thanks a lot, the ones linked to look spot on and i'll look at the others too. Decent price for big tyres, not a great deal more than cheap remoulds! I'll let you know how i get on

Thanks!
Also, does anyone know anything about alternators struggling if you wire a lot of lights up? I've got new headlights in and had to tweak the idle revs up a bit because every time a pulled up at a junction the lights cut out! The problem is im wanting to put some 100W roof spotlights on for lamping, but dont know if it will hack it or what to do about the problem?

sounds more like you have a few dodgy earth connections somewhere. I believe the 410 has a 55 amp alternator, so should be sweet to run headlights, and also to run a bunch of spotlights. just check all your earth connections, take them off, and clean them up, and screw them back on tight, and see what happens. especially the main earth connections mate
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

You could look on eBay for some LED ones. Something like 20W in an LED is a lot brighter than a 100W halogen.
