Sj 410 su carbs fires but will not run!! Help

Hi all I've just bought a suzuki sj 410 on su carb. I test drove it ran fine. drove it home ran fine. Got in it this morning drove it to work and it ran fine untill I got to work where it cut out. I left it for a minute and it started again. As I was driving home it cut out again and now it will not start atall. It turns over fine and fires once but as soon as I let go off the key it dies. Any suggestions?

might have a blocked fuel filter? if its got just been refilled with fuel after standing for a while it could have stirred up some crap from the tank

should be on the inside of the chassis ... drivers side next to the petrol tank
sometimes if you give it a tap and a wiggle it can clear it temporarily

Carb icing maybe? have you got the warm air pipe from the exhaust manifold fitted? is the airbox on the winter setting?

There is plenty petrol getting to the carb. I noticed mine didn't have the warm feed when I looked at my mates 410. However it started yesterday when it was a lot colder.

are you getting a spark at the plugs? coil might have packed up or something?

Where do the warm water feeds come from and go? As mine hssnt gt these I no the pipe goes from the exhaust manifold too the air box

This is my engine bay janspeed manafold so I can't put my hot air feed pipe anywhere

cut a small bit of metal tube out and weld it to one of the primaries! seems to be what janspeed did on the 413 manifold anyway!!!

Fixed it now guysa very simple problem the kid I bought it from left pair copper showing on a cable that feeds the cd player directly from the ignition blowing the ignition fuse. Guess I should of noticed I hadvno dash lights. Lol cheers anyway

At least that will explain why it fired when cranking over

The radio should have its own fused supply from the ignition switch ACC positon.

Blue wire on the later model.
