Went off for a bit of a jolly overnight with my bro. Covered about 300kms in total over the 2 days. Not much pictures, or video as my camera was utter pants, and the go-pro battery life seems suspect at the moment. We were setting camp in. The dark as well due to shoddy time management.

Sounds like a nice little break.
I love the idea of laning and just pitching up camp anywhere. As always we have rules about that over here too.

Great pics, in fact when i've done overnighters in the past - all it takes is a little phone call or email to your local council office to ask permission to camp overnight in woodland near Byways. Within a few days you can have a letter of permission or an email sorted. Much better to have permission and also great when they give permission for fires too.
Also make sure you leave no trace, leave the campsite how you found it
