wiper problem
wiper problem
The wipers in the anus havent worked since i got it .I got a new wiper motor and replaced the old one the wipers work very slowly for a few minutes and now the wont move at all .
I took the wipers off and have been greasing the both wiper holders all week the driver side moves but as soon as i put the wiper back on it stops moving any ideas.

Re: wiper problem
have you tried replacing the wiper blades themselves? My motor was OK but where the blades were folding over due to age, they were getting stuck.
Its either that or a problem with the mechanism.
I can't remember if you are soft top or hard top... but in a soft top you flip the windscreen surround forwards and you have nice easy access to the wiper mechanism

Ahhh ok then I'm not sure how you get to the wiper mechanism in the hard top? Hopefully for you its not a dash out job :(
