Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Had another think...
The rear door, speakers spare wheel etc £30.
All the steel for the roll cage and the bumpers £10.
And bought a fuck off lump of steel today for the rear winch for £15.
So she's at £1253.
But after all that you have all the little things you don't add up...paint, bulbs etc.
And the time put into it all. I charge a modest £15 an hour for my work and that I wouldn't dare try to work out!

Bumper is on!
It's not finished, I want to put a hoop in the middle of it, but it'll do for now!
Other pic is a design I made up for a mate's tool cabinet...and it's amazing what you can get in the back of a Vit

You mean for £15 an hour you're not gonna do a house call and repair it? Seems expensive now.donkeychomp wrote:Pity you are so far away matey...can you pop it in the post?

Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Chuck it in the back of your rig next time you come down this way...
Thursday should see the rear bumper go on and the winch too. I've decided on a 2" body lift just to get some fatter rubber in there. Still not sure if I've bought the right bit of metal for the rear winch mount... it weighs more than a small child. Might be overkill. I'm going to weigh it but I reckon it's 20 kilos at least!
