Air-con recharge

Post by Rhinoman » Thu Jun 19, 2014 1:34 pm

Anyone know a good place in the Swindon/Cirencester area? the a/c on the Jimny isn't working very well.

Halfords? Or your local Suzuki dealer.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

You can do worse than Halfords, but you can also do cheaper. If there's one near you, I recommend the Halfords Autocentres. Technically a speparate compeny, my local one is where I get my MOT done every year. If yours is anything like mine, they should be a cheerful and relatively helpful bunch. Refilling air cons is probably going to be a regular thing for them, because it's something your average mug will notice when it breaks.

You're a bit late! Best time for a re-gas is in the Winter when they've got none going!

Had a quick look around, seems about 45 squid is the norm.
Suzuki have a deal on at the moment, don't know if that includes the filter.

Don't know if that's nation wide as I just checked "Pebly Beach Suzuki" Swindon.

I'll ask at Pebley Beach in Cirncester on Monday, otherwise I've been quoted £80 from a mobile place in Swindon.

Having it done in the winter wasn't an option as I didn't buy it till the spring and it hasn't been top of the list of things that need money.

I finally got this done today. I took the Suzuki coupon in to Pebley Beach but they had their own offer - £39.99 so I promptly binned the coupon! I finally have cold air :D
