I was looking at a lot into the Gypsy Escapade... they are putting a nice new Euro IV emissions compatible engine in it, despite the fact that over here they will be introducing Euro V next september, which it probably won't meet!

I think the Gypsy uses the G13BB engine from the old Jimny although they were supposed to be axing it for a Maruti built diesel to meet Euro 5. Next month is the introduction of Euro 6 in the EU (yes I'm kin busy), Euro 4 is long gone.
There is no chance of type approving a Samurai, the Jimny is only here because as an existing model it doesn't have to meet the latest requirements.
