From a petrol station! All you get here is food and anti freeze lol.

Reminds me of Italy where you used to get Fiat 500 parts in the Post Office.

Yes the parts all fit!

The blue LJ (P5) is done now bar the steering bits, green one (P6) has a long way to go though. Only had a spare hour today but fitted the aerial on the rear wing and made a neat thingy to hold it down to the roof (piccs tomorrow). After getting 2 rolls of door seal in the wrong size I ordered a metre of different stuff. Turned up this morning and it's spot on so I've ordered more to finish the car. Seen a winch on ebay (Superwinch 12,000lbs) but can't afford it until P5 is sold. Hey ho!

Rear door card is knackered on P5 and P6 doesn't have one so I'm making 2. Diff breathers are on, and I've done the rear shocks...well I hope I have, ended up finishing them with a portable heater and a torch, got a bit dark! Got a sample length of door seal and it fits so ordered the rest, the lip is 8mm wide, kinda surprised me...

Forgot the main issue. Driving along with the LJ misfiring like a bastard I realised I have a Vitara...same engine. Parked them side by side and swapped the HT leads. Started the Vit and it ran like the LJ did! Drove the LJ and all cured, runs like clockwork. So...new set of leads for Piglet3 and all is funky.

I am a very happy bunny.

Few more bits done...passenger seat is now in...lots of drilling but all good now. The winscreen wiper motor is FUBAR. Keeps on missing it's parking point, and only covers about half of my side of the screen...not a good thing. Scottie thinks he may have one, fingers xxd. High steer kit arrived today, a serious piece of kit, very very strong and well made. That will be on next time I get a day off..so 2016 then. Maybe summer. Another roll of door seal came too but the passenger door won't close with it on, headscratcher this on as it worked fine on the other side! Changed the Astrali to a smaller Mountney as I was having trouble getting out...the wheel was too big and kept on trapping my arse as I tried to get out...lol. And the late night respray of the shocks worked just fine.

Wait - did I miss something? Piglet 6 has coil suspension on the back?

I guess because it's a Vitara axle, that makes sense.

Yep, coily on the rear SPOA on the front hence the need for the high steer kit. I've kinda got used to her foibles now and can chuck her into a bend with vigour. Helps if I'm wearing brown trousers though. Came home tonight on the M25 and got a clear stretch of road (I know, on a friday, but amazingly true), and did a GPS calibration. Indicated 85mph (I say indicated but it wobbles all over the place) on the speedo... was 94mph on the GPS. If any policeman is reading this I'm lying.

Scared the hell out of me but was worth it, and she had a bit more to give as well.

So LJ...Light Jimny...stick a Vit lump in it and you have a bit of an animal on your hands!

I really really love this Suzuki, even with all her little faults.

Holy...

You have big brass ones! I don't mind doing speeds like that in the Yaris (it still does 50mpg at those speeds!) but nothankyouverymuchly in a Zuk!!!

Are you SURE it didn't say 49mph and you got a bit confussilated?

:hahaha:

Put it this way, the LJ started undressing herself...the hood started flapping around as pop studs came off and I decided enough was enough! Never doing that again but I wanted to see what she would do.

I had a stupid rule when I was younger and into bikes in a big way. I had to max it out before I went home. Idiot. Surprised I'm still here!

Well I got that all wrong...just did it again and the LCD display was a little concealed last time!

84 mph...felt like 94 though!
