Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I have managed to order the UJ's today so should be able to get the front propshaft back on soon. I am having to use it as my daily driver so can anyone tell me if it ok to drive on just the front axle for trips of ten miles at a time (I want to refurbish the back propshaft once it's off)??

Personally I wouldn't run it in fwd. why not use the UJs to refurb the rear prop? its a quick and relatively easy job.

My mate ran his Hilux in fwd for a while, with little problem.

But like Scottie says, why not just refurbish the rear prop instead of the front one?

Thanks for information,
I have managed to change the order for 4 x UJ's (being spanish built they are 24mm instead of 25mm so a little harder to get hold of) so will do both the propshafts at the same time.
The rear diff pinion oil seal is proving a bit harder to get hold of though without buying a diff refurb kit.

Get more involved in the forum and it'll change depending on how involved you are.

The more posts you do, your status changes, and you need to get away from muddy boots, 'cos you won't get those in the Canary Islands.

The more posts, the more stars you get, at times the more insulting / offensive the tag line underneath becomes.

I just have too much spare time at work.

Thanks. You are right about the no mud in the canary islands - I don't think i'll ever need mud and snow tyres!!
