Do you mean 3/4 elliptic Anton? 1/4 elliptic requires a 4 link etc and you might as well go coils if you have to do that?

I'm pretty good at destroying bodywork no matter what it's made out of, but at least it won't rust! And back when I was considering the Jago swap, the Jago boys were of the opinion that since GRP tends to just bend and then pop back into shape, it's actually quite hard to do it any real damage - and when you do, you just mix up some of the epoxy used to make the GRP in the first place and glue it back together.
Because the epoxy actually dissolves the existing material and then it dries/hardens back together as a single piece (not two pieces glued together, but actually properly bonded at a molecular level into one piece) it's basically as good as new, and therefore a lot easier to repair than metal bodywork.
It's like welding 2 pieces of metal together - they're genuinely one piece if done right.
Now, maybe they're just fanboys, but several of them offroad their Geeps, and I'm inclined to believe them from the little work I've done with GRP...
I like the idea of GRP for the lightness though. Should be a hell of a lot lighter than a standard body, even with the 6 point cage.

It all depends how bad you smash it I guess....can imagine it being quite a mess after a bad roll.
When the LJ buggy happens tbh there's not going to be much of the body used, pretty much just the outer skins to make it "look" like an LJ. The body work won't be very heavy at all and it will be nice and easy to remove and replace, tbh I might make up two sets of skins, one set out of some LJ panels and one set out of plain steel or aluminium sheet for comp use when damage is more likely. All simply bolted on.

1.6 Vitara carb engine so you don't need to faff about with extra wiring...Vit axles so you can have coils...see the LJ rebuild...tubular bumpers...interior roll cage...4 point harnesses. Done.
Though you are never really done, always an upgrade or extra mod you will want to do later on...
