Yeah same as I was thinking.

I have a few old siezed callipers an I can't seem to get the piston out. Won't budge unless I get a bit more physical with it

I suppose new callipers would be good piece of mind seen as it gets used off road. Brand new clean internal surfaces and proper tolerances

For the record jimny callipers fit SJs. You will need the 12mm bolts that bolt through the sliding pins because the jimny ones are longer

Apart from that an a few minor casting body differences, they are identical.

Il be saving some money and buying a set of new jimny callipers tomorrow to put an end to my ongoing calliper issues.

See you have some nice calipers fitted now, but decided to have a look around Brakesinternational to see what I could find. I was told they had spares but were not listed. Well I found this lot !

Nice find. Be worth saving that page. Surely there's a demand for callipers on here.

I realised that the cost of a refurb including replacing the piston and seals would be around 40/50 depending where you got the parts. Given the time taken to carry out the work it seemed sensible to just buy new ones and save the effort.

I have got a few spare siezed up though so I might fix them up and sell them on in the future.

Back to the original post  this was commented "not to mention some monkey rounded off the 6mm Allen key bolt!" and I thought "what allen key bolt"
Right then, went and found these diagrams. The only type I see with a allen bolt are the landcruiser type. I have never seen these type on an SJ or even heard of any fitted. Anyone else ??
