Was looking for that thread earlier Scottie.

I've rummaged at work during a callout today and found some 75mm OD impact resistant plastic tube to use for the bit up the screen. (bit big I know but will look good and be strong and also matches the OD of the snorkle top I have)

I far prefer the idea of going through the bulkhead as they just look so vulnerable on the wing.

Need to come up with a good mounting method for the upright part that is quick to release but strong and will last being used frequently if we have a nice summer.

For the bit that passes through the bulkhead I might make up a plate with a tube welded in it that rivets/bolts on then just a bit of rubber tube on it so the upper part of the setup just interference fits it.

Hmmm passenger side maybe but don't like the idea of the bit under the bonnet being too long.

Surprising how well that clip holds it, flex's a little, it will push out the way so it wont snap, but strong enough to able to take a beating. With the ribbed bits on my upper section, the tight fit and angle its pulled to there's a good seal. I will be sealing it with silicone from the inside though. Moving your battery to the other side would make it ten times easier, or as you say go passenger side! only reason i didn't was because that's all the pipe i had, and i didn't want pipe every where like you say.
