Re: F10D Viability
Geez! I've barely had chance to finish thinking about it. I actually went down to a local used car dealer today because I saw he had an Alto 1.1 in. I have a look at it and while the gearbox end looks friendly I'm not so sure about the engine mounts. It's got this weird horseshoe shaped bracket on the end of the engine around the timing belt cover that bolts up to the O/S of the engine bay.dan_2k_uk wrote:Have you done it yet?
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: F10D Viability
You just want to check to see if the block still has the bolt holes for the Sj mounts, ignore the mounts that are used in the alto as the engine is mounted the wrong way

No, because I'm an idiot and I didn't think of that.

Re: F10D Viability
I checked the diagrams for the alto and it came up with this
"Alto MA800 RF410 SB308 SH410 SS80"
I have no idea which one has the f10d engine in it
I looked for pics of the f10d but this is the only one I found out the engine bay.
