I think you are supposed to have the long end on the axle... although it doesn't matter too much
on the rear i prefer the short end on the diff in case a UJ goes on the road... less propshaft spinning round then!

Here you go. I can't imagine it being too critical though, the main thing is the joints are aligned correctly as shown in the drawings.

It all depends on your set up, hence why I asked for pictures.

I would fit the 413 prop with no spacers, looks like you might have 2" ish lift springs so that with no spacers should be fine, the tbox is in it's original position. fit it then see how much of the splines on the slip yoke of the prop is showing and report back, should be fine though.
Oh and I would sort out the rubber boot on the rear prop as well, without that in place dirt and crap will get into the splines and wear them out causing some play. could do with being pulled apart, cleaned and greased.

still waiting for my front prop to get delivered but I went out in it 2wd offroading handled ok but after about 2 hours my rear prop has snapped :( there must be a simple solution to this. could it be because when the engine was fitted the guys who fitted it thought that spacers where a good thing to put on the props. is it the spacers causing the tension at the angle they sit at. or is it just a case of I need to get some thicker one made due to the 1.7td torque ? im abit lost on this one.

cheese? I don't get that comment.
is it worth getting them custom made? I just wanna get out in it with the best possible solution
im surprised no one else has had this problem.
has anyone modified and fit Toyota props , I think they will need shortening and will need adapters fitting but maybe I should try this route
