It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
Still, if anyone's got the skills and the billies to do yet another Zuk rebuild (other than Scottie) it'd be you...
Thanks Anton...that's quite a compliment.
My skills lie in restoration, give me a part or an entire vehicle and I can make it look like new. However some jobs I need help with, but whatever I can't fix I watch how it's done and I learn by that. The wheel bearings on P3 for example...seen how it's done and now I know how.
Think Scottie has me beat though...he can fix anything all on his own!

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
More little bits done, sun visors, diff breather filter and MP3 player in.
Was getting fed up of rummaging through the glovebox for an emergency lighter so thought of the velcro idea lol!
Wiper motor packed up this evening, thankfully I have a spare ( Scottie) so that will go on tomorrow, as will the high steer kit and other bits too.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
All the steering bits went back onto Piglet 5 today, a quick check on lights etc and she went in for the MOT.
SHE PASSED!
No advisories!
So she'll be coming back to my garage to finish off a few little bits, then sadly, it's ebay time.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
Nice one was that using all the original steering links in the end? Just with new boots?
I'm back up my workshop tomorrow so will pull out the wiper linkage for you

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
Had to wait in today for sodding hours for the winch to be delivered. Around 4pm there's a knock on the door and a bloke standing there with a Jiffy bag. Hmm...where's my winch I think. It's downstairs (4 flights) and the guy says he needs a hand...ok then. Go downstairs, I sign for the winch, he takes it out of the van, says he needs to get something and then drives off!
So I'm standing there with a 45kg winch. In the end I gave up trying to go up even one flight of stairs and got the LJ out of the garage and hefted it up into the back.
This thing might need to go on the rear and a smaller (and lighter) one up front!
Will get pics tomorrow in the daylight.
