Yeah mine's quite happy to cruise along at 70... its mainly cos I have the sammy high ratio gears, and wider axles, and spacers, and wider tyres...
I probably wouldn't cruise at 60 in a 410!
... and it is like a pocket rocket but cornering in the wet is where the magic really happens

Helens 410 is better at 70 than my Samny is. Mine gets well wobbly after about 65.

See my 0-70mph time can be measured in seconds not minutes

I was going to say you've got 1.6 16v lol my zuk has a brand spanking new starter and alternator, I'll get the UJ's and props greased tomorrow then and check it over just to make sure she's good to go..

Am I on the right forum...
I'm sure I've just read about motorway cruising speeds and even 0-60 or was it 70 .. !! .. What is going on? Nobody owns an SJ for its 0-60 readings or V-Max stats. I've no doubt many on here have other cars far more capable in that department - nothing quite like rocking round in our quirky Suzukis tho eh...even at 60mph or what ever...gotta love em for what they are and what they can do
Although...my brother borrowed my SJ recently when we were doing a bit of work on one of his cars and he said he got 80 (clock speed) Bit unnecessary I thought

It's surprising easy it is to rack the miles up. I did 50 on Sunday and 6hours of off reading. Can't wait to get rebuilding done and rack some more miles up.

Haha I have got almost 70 out of mine but I wouldn't do it for a long amount of time only a few seconds lol
I usually potter along at 45/50 mph so will probably go about that all the way down, I've planned the journey to be only about 30 miles of the m6 and most of the way down the a50 as it's a duel carriageway and is usually a quiet road..
I leave on Wednesday night about half 10 so will post on here and let you all know how it goes..

yeah you'll be fine bud, I drove my old sj from bournemouth to plymouth with an out of tune carb (backfired all the way) without any worries. besides the obvious backfiring that started half hour into the trip, fixed in 30 seconds with a screwdriver, it was totally fine!

I don't own it to go fast in it, I own it precisely because it's an SJ
Going fast is just a extra bonus that helps when driving long distance!
And as for top speed the fastest I've had mine is about 100! Top of the speedo and then a little bit faster! Long time ago though I probably wouldn't do it again now!!!
