My Sj has no sound deadening whatsoever a 2" exhaust and pretty much solid engine and transmission mounts (polybushes) yet I don't find it that bad and can still hear my stereo. Plus it's good to hear all the noises, gives you an early warning if there's something going wrong :lol:
With mine I'm going to try and make a single piece carpet and stick soundproofing to the bottom of the carpet, hopefully i will then be able to remove the whole lot to clean it out!

My SJ is loud as hell haha, the most annoying thing is listening to music over the exhaust... you can hear most of it but as the zorst drowns out some of it of it, you can hear specific parts of a song (ie. certain notes and instruments) and it sometimes sounds like something breaking haha

Haha, I slammed on the brakes once thinking something had gone horribly wrong with the drivetrain somewhere. Then realised it was only the drums in a song on the radio!
