Hurrah and stuff. Looking forward to this!

I may have to get one or two of you lot to help me get my CB working properly. I know nothing about RF equipment, even in theory. :-D
1985 SJ413VX (SJ50V) with SPOA, rear disc brakes, 31x10.5R15 Kaiman Malatesta tyres, an MOT and a lot left to do!

CBs are pretty much plug n play. Power, mic, aerial.

There may be nothing wrong with my CB, but until I can test it with another CB owner, I dunno.

CB radios will usually just work if you plug them in, BUT they really should be set up properly with a SWR meter. They are pretty cheap to buy usually.
If you don't set the aerial correctly, and have a very good earth, this can result in the CB radio burning itself out.

I might have to fix my CB for wagtail ;)

Twiss - I have an SWR meter, and from memory I'm getting a lot of reflected signal, but until I test it in an open area, there's no way to know if that's signal bouncing off houses, or off an incorrectly tuned aerial...
