alright guys back agen
so fitted the passenger side new cv today got everything back on n went to test it so put it in 4WD locked hubs turned right on lock and bang noise is still there doesn't seem as bad with the new 1 in so no harm done but a could sware the noise is coming from front drivers side , anyways I took the front prop off and it had more play than I though at tbox end so will get that sorted , and whilst I took it off I span the bit on the tbox and it sounded lyk a machine gun could this be my noise ??? nackered bearing ??? is this just as easy as a bearing change or is it tbox out and rebuild or a new 1 , not sure what to do now thanks lads

Jack the front axle up and with both hubs locked when you spin one wheel the other should spin, most likely the other way.

With only one hub or no hubs locked when you spin one wheel the other should not move.
