so got back from my girlfriends today been the most of the week so not really much done/started on the sj just took some pictures of engine ,seats and wheels

its turned into more of a boyfriend girlfriend project which is fun

Image
engine bay is muddy and there's a few breathers that need tracing and yes there is a starter motor on the inner wheel arch its fucked got told it was good when i brought the sj but tried it and it doesn't work so might have ago at striping it down and cleaning it out
if someone done it before and has some advice they could give me that would be nice :doublethumbs:

my lovely muddy vauxhall calibra turbo seats and harnesses its messy as my dads using it as a shed but now the other shed it the garden has been sorted he can move his shit out of my car :rockin:

Image

Image

the front has 30mm wheel spacers to which came with the sj so that was nice and you can see why i need 16" wheels that will fit

tyre size 205 80 16 kingpin hi-lander diamond tracks :rockin:

I think I have now figured out why the spring hangers have been cut of and re welded on as the rear wheels sit just right in the arches with no spacers so if I'm right that means I could have samurai axels ill takes some pics tomorrow anyway

and also was trying to work out what gearbox someone has used when they put the 1.6 in as its a 5 speed and it has 3 prop shafts if that helps :?:

It properly has a 1.3 gear box
It has 1 prop that comes from gearbox to transfer box and then 1 goes to front axle and other one to rear axle

1.6 engine on the 1.3 box is right as the 1.6 wont bolt up to the 410 box

and as daz above says propshaft from back of gearbox into transfer box then from the transfer box you have the two probs going to the axle oh and sj's are rear wheel drive so there easy to go sideways :hahaha:

Not quite sure what's been going on with the spring mounts, but they look like they could do with a bit of bracing.
