Thanks Geoff, Sorry Scottie that i din't said about the engine but its still the stock sj410. Runs obstacles like a dream , gear ratio on the patrol axles are very slow, i don't know the teeth yet, the only problem are the long steep hills other than that engine sounds like a GSXR , saving for a 1.6 16v or a VW 1.9 i will see that i can find but am leaning to the VW because is has more torgue on low revs and does not have electrical system.

The build is not over yet more to come when i will fill my piggybank again,
will post a video of the zukitrol when i will go out for you guys

i got stuck in the mud and the poor 410 engine dint have the spirit to move my 35" tires
good fun tho

ok after some bashing of my zukitrol i finally work things out with the engine, i got a awesome deal on a long wheelbase suzuki sidekick 1998 with a 16v engine for 550 euros from a old english guy that use to live here, the car drives like a dream too bad am gonna take it apart.

I have done a lot of stuff this summer,
- 16v engine from vitara
- done all the wiring, again...
- new steel dashboard
- lots of fixings on the body
- paint
and lots of driving, i will have a video soon for you guys.

Nice! I'm glad you went with the 1.6, most people who swap in a 1.9 diesel say it ruins them offroad because the engine is just too heavy. You might've been ok with those wide axles, but the 1.6 is a lot less weight, and that's important with a challenge truck.

Thanks Anton, am also glad I went with the 1.6 the zuki is a lot more light, I have
a truck scale at work and I measure 1.200kg my friends 1.3 zuki weight 900kg so
that's nothing, and the best thing is that all my weight is on the axles and boy am very happy
with them, they are very low geared also

Extra weight low down is going to give you more stability, as is the extra width (and extra articulation, I suppose!)

This thing must be ridiculously stable, then!

Are you not running any bumpstops? You need to fit some, it will help with articulation as the fulcrum effect comes into play and will force the dropped wheel down as the compressed wheel is forced up.

I do love this Sj, has such a good stance and its nice and simple.
