Re: Jordi's 1988 Samurai Build
4.3 R&P acquired!
Need to strip another set of rear side gears then the diffs are of to be rebuilt. So I can fit 26spline shafts in the front.
Hoping the budget will stretch to a Chinese arb for the rear too

Is the Chinese ARB up to the job? Last thing I bought from there was an HDMI lead and it worked worse than my old scart cable.
If it ticks over...leave it

General reviews seem pretty good, quite a few of the Australian forums rate them well.donkeychomp wrote:Is the Chinese ARB up to the job? Last thing I bought from there was an HDMI lead and it worked worse than my old scart cable.

If they're as strong as standard diffs, then they'll probably be stronger than the shafts, meaning they should hold up ok.
Then there's probably the thing about driving more sensibly with a truck built out of parts that you don't trust as much...

Stronger than chromo shafts though?
It's all down to will I have the cash for the locker when I get the diffs built up?

I'll prob buy a set at some point. So I can use my old chromos in the Lwb. Tbh I've had not even the slightest of worries about the TT chromos, they've certainly taken the abuse over the years.
