Get the reverse lights working
Wire up the rear number plate light
Fit/wire up the fog light and switch
Get new indicator bulbs (ordered)
Get new brake line clips and fit 'em
Find my stash of split pins and fit a couple to the castle nuts on the drag link/track rod ends
Get/make Rover rear caliper mounts.
Fit Rover rear calipers, bleed brakes.
Get flexi pipes for the rear calipers (Can't believe I
forgot that!)
Make rear brake pipe fittings and weld them to the
axle
Weld up and fit the exhaust

Should be do-able, if nothing else jumps out at me! I just hope I pass emissions...
1985 SJ413VX (SJ50V) with SPOA, rear disc brakes, 31x10.5R15 Kaiman Malatesta tyres, an MOT and a lot left to do!

I had a chat with one of my friend's that works at a testing place the other day. He was saying that at his garage they got a car through the emissions by turning the 'idle' up to about 1800 revs.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

It's a carbon monoxide test and an unburnt fuel test. When I asked about it apparently all cars have to pass those.

Dont bother with welding brackets for the brake lines. Just bend a little L shaped bit of steel with 2 holes in it and secure the flexy and fixed line through it and bolt it to the old clip mount on the axle through the other hole.

Yeah, HPOC Scottie told me about that one too! I may wind mine up to about 1200rpm before dropping 'er off, just in case.

I'll just make a "fork" and tack it on. It's 10 minutes work.

The clip mount you speak of isn't on this axle anymore... :argh:

All SJs just need to meet 3.5% CO and 0.12% (HC)3 should be easy to meet as long as the engine is healthy.

Made a couple of brake caliper templates today, out of ali checkerplate (not wood). First one didn't quite fit (caliper bolt holes 5mm too low). Second one fit perfectly:

Tomorrow's job: Make 2 of those out of 10mm steel plate, then make 13mm spacers, and find bolts that'll go through that lot!
