I've seen grand vitara free wheeling hubs for sale and I don't think my GV has them, will they help fuel consumption at all like they do on SJ's?

Thanks for any help at all!

GV has an air actuated freewheel in the front diff so if you fit fwh the only extra parts you will be disengaging are the half shafts.

Up to you if you think its worth it.

I thought it had some sort of freewheeling setup but wasn't sure, need to fin dome one that has got them and ask their opinion of them

The GV isn't too bad on fuel really, it's just I'm wondering what it's going to be like when I'm towing the caravan, and if free wheeling hubs will help then I'll get some...

Fwh on a GV won't make any difference to fuel consumption as dan days it's already got a free wheeling system.

Ok thanks for the advice! Wot bother paying £150 for a pair if all they're going to do is make it more hassle to put ito 4wd haha

Well you've just about talked me into getting some for my GV.
Won't save sod all much fuel, however you wont be wearing out these!!!!!!!!!!
Well just the CV's a little on suspension movement...

So they can save a fair bit of wear and tear then?

Might get a pair at a later date, nothing major really, need to have a look at the steering and make sure nothings lose that could be causing my judder, check the back right hand corner for anything loose and figure out what the noise from my engine is, don't think it's major, sounds like a loose cover or something rattling

Jimnybits do the cheapy hubs for £110... not in stock at the minute though but might be worth emailing about them
Would probably hold up alright as you're not off roading it as aggressively?
