Engine not starting but did a couple weeks ago??

When I picked the truck up it had to be jump started due to a dead battery, no I've charged the battery and there are 11.4volts running through it and I've wired up my electronic fuel pump to a jerry can like I did last time but the engine is not even turning over??
Is there a simple solution to this or is it going to be difficult to diagnose the problem?? I'm leaning towards the started but it worked fine a couple weeks ago and the engine started first time and ran sweet??

Try jump starting it again, that voltage is low for a charged battery.

Ok, does this mean the battery is knackered then? I had in on charge for about 8 hours?

either that or your battery charger, but i would be inclined to think its the battery. Mine only reads about 11.9V and i dont get many chances to start the car before it dies, so yea 11.4 sounds too low, new battery time! Oh and buy new, i know they're dear for a decent battery, but i used to buy £15 scrap yard jobbies, only ever lasted couple of months each.

Ok guys. I have a saxo sat in the yard so I'm hoping I can use a brand new battery from that

Me and my mate had a look at the problem and the starter was completely stuck so we took off the spade and just used a screwdriver and it started again so he said to clean it all, are there any guides on here anywhere on how to strip it down and recondition it?? Thanks.
